Information Return Burden Survey, tax year 2021

The Information Return Burden Survey is an important project that can benefit all information document issuers. We hear from third party information document issuers that preparing and providing information returns (such as Forms 1099-INT,1098, and 5498), are time consuming and expensive. We are conducting a survey of randomly selected information document issuers to learn more about those costs. 星空体育手机端 answers will help us estimate the amount of time and money all issuers spend preparing information documents, submitting them to the IRS, and providing them to taxpayers. We also use this information to learn how to reduce information document filing compliance burden.
