East Helena man sentenced to prison for bank fraud in Covid-19 relief scheme
June 9, 2022 — An East Helena man who admitted lying in a scheme to receive more than $1 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans guaranteed by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for coronavirus relief aid and using the money instead for personal benefit was sentenced on June 7 to 30 months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich said.

Naples felon pleads guilty to 2.6 million dollar COVID relief fraud scheme
August 29, 2022 — United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Daniel Joseph Tisone (Naples) has pleaded guilty to wire fraud, bank fraud, illegal monetary transaction, and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. Tisone faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in federal prison for each wire fraud and bank fraud count, up to 10 years' imprisonment on the illegal monetary transaction count, and up to 10 years in federal prison on the possession of ammunition charge.
